Response to Writing

Writing to Learn Interview

Reflection:

-As I made my literacy narrative, I  looked back to when I interviewed one of my fellow classmates in U-Write class. The questions I had asked her generally was simple such as "Where did you find your access to literacy while growing up?" or "Who was your greatest influence when it came to reading and comprehension?" Her answers were very similar to what I thought I would say when she interviewed me. However, I decided to talk about my family and how their influences being from a different country channeled me to continue to become a better reader. Honestly, when it comes to peer editing and revisions I myself find it very interesting how hard I am on myself as well as my classmates. When reading my classmate's stories I try to look for the true meaning of what they are trying to say.

As well as grammatical errors in their writing. When it comes to my writing, I have a very hard time in transitioning and focusing on one main topic. Throughout the rest of the semester and time to come I hope to obtain the knowledge  of knowing how to write and  what comes of it.

I never knew how articulate I was until I would peer edit one of my classmates papers. By looking back, I notice that I can compare this assignment to one of the "Student Learning Outcomes" (SLO's). That happens to be rhetorical reading in which I was able to analyze my  work and the work of others critically, which includes  examining different texts and understnding  the value of various rhetorical choices of writers.

Reflection:

-To the right   of the screen is feedback that my teacher, Ms. Agosta had  responded to   in  my past blog posts. When reading her comments, it formally helped me to do better on future posts and literacy writing I would do in the semester. She would incorperate talking about different genre's, SLO's, ideas, and literacy skills that would only help me in my overall thinking. Some of the things she had said was that I need to be more specific when writing. I tend to over think and take things far beyond what they really need to be. It can get confusing at times to say the least. However with the help of my teacher being able to comment on my work, I am able to fix my problem and have a better outlook on my future posts and writing.

Course Engagement: Teacher Responses

Upon writing this I found that responses are very important to the devolpment of literacy and its challenges. I tend to talk about the ideas that my writing teacher, Ms. Agosta would talk about. It would be about SLO's and how I can incorperate it into my writing. I look back and see that I talk to much about Ms. Agosta wants me to do rather then what I personally would want to do in my blog posts. Reflecting back I understand that it made me focus on the content rather then in depth concept I am always trying to get. Sometimes less is more, not the other way around.
